St. Vincent connected on nine 3-point goals Tuesday en route to a victory over Timberlake Christian School in a quarterfinal Virginia Independent Schools tournament game.

Mike Kelley led TCS scoring with 19 points, while Travis Stickle had 17, Marty Chandler 16 and Tommy Middleton 10.

This was the first year ever for the Tornadoes to appear in postseason play. Timberlake lost in the last minute to the eventual Virginia Independent Conference champion North Cross last week, a performance that earned it a berth in the state tournament.
