STAB Eases Past Timberlake
St. Anne's-Belfield placed four players in double figures Thursday as it eased to a 73-57 victory over Timberlake Christian.
Paul Holdren led the way for St. Anne's with 15 points. Robbie Rhoads and Richard Harry each pitched in 12 points and Gordie Croll added 11.
The Saints, 2-0, trailed 35-30 with less than a minute to go in the first half. But their pressure defense produced three quick baskets, and the Saints held a 36-35 halftime lead.
STAB then switched to a zone defense in the third quarter, and cold-shooting Timberlake couldn't keep up. It was outscored 37-22 in the second half.
