LYNCHBURG — Hargrave Military Academy defeated Timberlake Christian School 69-59 Tuesday night.
Hargrave was led by Tremayne McLaughlin who scored 18 points on six field goals and six-for-eight from the line. Rounding up Hargrave's offense was Aaron Fox, 16 points, and Scott Gillespie, 13 points.
Timberlake's Doug Allen scored 20 points.
It was a close game at halftime, Hargrave leading by a score of 35-27. The game was put out of Timberlake's reach when Hargrave went on a 21-10 run in the third period.
Hargrave dominated the boards with Eric Murray pulling down 13 rebounds and Fox, nine. Ryan Hagwood paced the Tigers on defense, coming up with six steals.
