Virginia Episcopal School's Jonathan Woodard was selected the Most Valuable Player in the two-day Holiday Classic basketball tournament at Timberlake Christian and it was easy to see why.
The senior guard scored 22 points Saturday night as the Bishops breezed to a 60-37 win over Timberlake in the championship game.
Woodard had 14 points Friday night as the Bishops, now 3-0, beat Holy Cross.
Chris Tyson added 12 points for the Bishops who grabbed a 28-20 halftime lead over the Tornadoes.
Keith Rogers was the big gun for Timberlake (1-2) with 17 points.
Joining Woodard and Tyson on the all-tournament team were Rogers and Corey Williams of Timberlake; Josh Gomes of LCA and Daniel Civis of Holy Cross.
Holy Cross defeated LCA in Saturday's consolation game.
