Tony Granger scored 24 points as St. Anne's-Belfield of Charlottesville overcame an unusual start to defeat Timberlake Christian.
The Saints, 2-6, had a player take the opening tipoff and hit a layup in the Timberlake basket to fall behind in the opening seconds, but rallied to take a 19-13 lead at the end of the first period and never trailed.
Gordy Croll added 10 points for the Saints who recorded the win despite hitting only 8 of 22 free-throw attempts.
Joe Guill led the Tornadoes, 4-6, with 21 points and Eddie Cook and Craig Sand had 10 points each.
