Jon Morgan got a steal and made a layup with seven seconds left, capping a 32-point night and lifting Timberlake Christian to a 58-56 win over Southside Baptist in Richmond.
The Tornadoes (7-9) built a 10-point lead at halftime, but Southside Baptist (6-4) rallied behind a full-court press, eventually taking a two-point lead in the final minutes. That's when Morgan hit a pair of free throws to tie things up before notching his seventh steal of the night and turning it into the game-winning basket.
Chris Newsome added 12 points, hitting two 3-pointers for Timberlake.
