The 06-07 Varsity Boys Basketball season was one of monumental firsts and inspirational memories. Getting off to a strong start, the boys successfully defended their Fuqua Tournament champion status for the 3rd consecutive year, where Jon Morgan was named tourney MVP. Over the course of the grueling 30+ game season, the guys went on several up and down streaks, culminating towards the end of the season with the defeat of the previously conference dominating Eastern Mennonite Flames. The varsity guys carried their winning ways into the state tournament earning them a second round birth for the first time in school history. The boys played one the finest games in Timberlake basketball losing a heartbreaker 73-70 at #1 seed Stonebridge. Although the 06-07 Varsity Boys Basketball season is over, it is far from forgotten. With Jon Morgan's record breaking final year, coach Spear's most accomplished varsity squad to date, and the culmination of an era (with 70% of the team moving on this year), a true legacy has been left.
