The Tornadoes rallied from a 19-point first-half deficit but fell just short on the road.

Jon Morgan hit back-to-back baseline jumpers to draw Timberlake even at 60 with about a minute left. On the next possession, Morgan got a steal and took the ball down the floor for a layup, but missed the heavily contested shot. With 30 seconds left, North Cross' Glenn Miller rebounded a missed shot and put it back in to give North Cross the lead for good.

Morgan scored 30 points and Luke Cunningham had a career-high 14 for Timberlake (11-13, 3-5 VIC).
