TCS jumped out to a big half time lead and fought off a furious rally by Roanoke Valley to win their first game of the season. TCS opened their season with a conference home game and survived an overtime thriller. After controlling the game throughout the first 3 quarters, TCS opened the 4th protecting a 10 point lead. Turnovers and quick shots led to easy buckets for the Eagles as they completed their comeback with a 3-pointer at the buzzer. The overtime session was a defensive struggle as only 3 field goals were made between the two teams. Sophomore sensation Jon Morgan broke into the young season with a career high 37 points. Senior point guard Daniel Bost contributed 14 points. Jonathon Phelps played big on the glass and grabbed 11 rebounds.
