Timberlake Christian School's boys basketball team trailed visiting Fuqua by 11 points with five minutes left in regulation before the Tornadoes stormed back to tie the game and eventually win in double overtime, 68-61, Tuesday night in the season-opener for both teams.
Jeff Reynolds poured in 11 of his game-high 25 points and Kyle Bowman scored eight of his 19 in the fourth quarter to ignite the comeback. The two sank five of their seven 3-pointers for the game in that period before Bowman scored five of the Tornadoes' eight points in the second overtime period, when TCS outscored Fuqua 8-1 to seal the victory.
Keith Rogers added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Tornadoes. Reynolds grabbed 12 rebounds.
Josh Wickizer led Fuqua with 16 points while James Barton added 14 and Jay Sprouse 13.
